Marcelo and his partner meticulously sanded these historic homes down to bare wood, primed them, and applied two top coats of paint for unparalleled longevity. They were pioneers in educating clients on the benefits of latex paints.
Over the years, Marcelo’s expertise took him to Hampshire County in England, where he worked on 600-year-old homes with thatched roofs, and to trendy homes in the South of France. He then moved to the Malibu Colony before settling in San Diego in 1994. In San Diego, Marcelo expanded his skill set by learning Feng Shui and offering Color Consulting services to his clients in Rancho Santa Fe and beyond. Many homeowners who were considering selling their properties decided to keep them after Marcelo revitalized them with his artistic touch.
In 1994, the Tex-Cote company recognized Marcelo’s exceptional skills and invited him to apply their products. After touring their factory, Marcelo became a service manager for a local San Diego company due to his expertise and outstanding customer service. Today, he is a certified applicator of “Coolwall” and adept at solving a myriad of painting challenges.
